Congratulations to our HSC Class of 2019

By | Latest News | No Comments

Congratulations to our Class of 2019 on their outstanding HSC results, which are a fine reflection of their effort, dedication and hard work. Along with their personal achievements in so many other areas, we are overwhelmingly proud of the well-balanced young people they have become.

Overall, our 2019 results placed us in the top 26% of NSW schools (SMH), with 46 mentions on the Distinguished Achievers List (achievement of Band 6) and first place in 10 subjects across the Diocese of Broken Bay.

Congratulations to College Dux Madeleine McMahon, who achieved an ATAR of 96.10, ranking her within the top 4% of the State.

Congratulations also to our HSC Showcase nominated students. Olivia Clay was nominated for ARTEXPRESS (Visual Arts Showcase), Zoe Peterson for SHAPE (Design & Technology Showcase) and Bede Patterson for ENCORE (Music Showcase).

It is very pleasing to see the our students excel across the wide range of subjects we have on offer, from traditional to VET subjects. We are very proud of you all!

Open Day & Expo 2020

By | Events | No Comments

We are excited to share that our Open Day and Expo for 2020 has been set for Tuesday, 10 March from 4-7pm.

Once again this hugely successful annual event will include information stands with interactive displays and activities by each of our learning faculties/key learning areas, allowing visitors to see what is being taught at St Leo’s and speak to staff and students. Hear from our Principal, Mr Anthony Gleeson, and be entertained by music, vocal, drama and dance performances from our talented students.

Our Open Day will also feature campus tours of our new facilities including the $14m Mary MacKillop Centre – our new hub for creative and performing arts, technology, design and hospitality.

We hope to see you there!

New Uniform Launched for 2020

By | Latest News | No Comments

St Leo’s is excited to announce a new, contemporary uniform to be introduced for 2020 which befits our state-of-the-art learning environment.

Our uniform plays a crucial role in representing the vision and values of the College. It provides a sense of cohesion and belonging, educational psychology and wellbeing, as well as identifying our College to the community. The St Leo’s uniform has changed very little since the College first opened in 1952. Our new uniform has been designed with student comfort in mind using our PRIDE framework, with the hope that it will be worn as a badge of pride for many years to come.

Both comfortable and flexible, the new range features hard-working fabrics and styles that will suit each student’s personal taste and body shape, including the introduction of optional trousers for the girls.

The new uniform will be compulsory for students entering Years 7 and 11 from January 2020, and other years will gradually transition to the new uniform over a period of three years. An information booklet including Frequently Asked Questions, was mailed to all current and incoming parents, or see the uniform page of this website for more details including our supplier.

It will be available for purchase form our supplier, Cowan & Lewis, from November 2019 (Term 4).
