Pathways and Careers
- giving students the skills to prepare them for the ever-changing 21st century workforce and the skills which employers are looking for. These so-called enterprise skills are what we call our St Leo’s Deep Learning Skills, or ‘6Cs’ – Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, Character and Christian Citizenship.
- providing students with various and regular experiences with business, industry and further education. Our students, from Year 7 onwards, have access to: workplace visits, employer incursions/ workshops at our college, employer & industry talks, tertiary education visits and talks, apprenticeship, traineeships & SBAT’s options etc.
VET (Vocational and Educational Training)
Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses give students the opportunity to develop practical, industry-relevant skills while completing their senior studies. VET is competency-based and aligned to national training packages, allowing students to work towards a nationally recognised qualification and gain experience that supports further training, apprenticeships, traineeships, or employment after school.
