IWD 2026 | Monday was a special day at St Leo’s as we marked International Women’s Day with several student-led initiatives, including our Inspiring Women Panel. In addition to several fundraising activities for Share the Dignity, our headline event for the day was a series of three sessions with a panel of five women who are all outstanding in their various fields – sport, community, fintech, education and cyber security. They answered structured questions from our student hosts before taking questions from the packed floor. The first session covered confidence, resilience, discovering pathways and leadership. It was followed by career journeys, leadership, challenges and working in male-dominated spaces in the second, then confidence, expectations of women, balancing life and career, and supporting other women in the final session.Thank you to our wonderful panellists, the many enthusiastic students who attended, our student leaders and Ms Varley for organising the day, and to Harry (Year 10) for the photography. ...
