AWARDS ASSEMBLY🎖️| At today's assembly, we recognised our Leo's students who have recently excelled in their fields, predominantly in various sporting arenas.Medals were presented to first, second and third placed students in each age group for our Cross Country event - most of whom represented the College at the Broken Bay Championships earlier this week. Here, we came away with 10 medals and the overall Boys Championship for the College, while 19 students qualified for the NSW CCC (Combined Catholic Colleges) Cross Country later this term. Great achievements by the whole Cross Country team! Two of our representative football (soccer) teams were presented with medals - our Open Girls and Intermediate Boys teams for winning their respective Broken Bay titles recently. Well done to both teams. We also presented CCC badges to a number of students. These are given to students who have placed highly at the Broken Bay level and qualified to participate in the CCC competition. Today, these were awarded for tennis, softball, swimming and rugby league. An outstanding achievement by each of these students to reach such a high level. Finally, Mr Gleeson presented the Certificate III in Design Fundamentals awarded to Year 12 student Amelie for her additional studies over the past 12 months, in amongst her HSC studies. This already gives Amelie a firm foot in the door towards her goal of studying Fine Arts at university next year. Congratulations Amelie! ... See MoreSee Less
