A GLIMPSE OF THE PAST⏳| Another highlight of a memorable final College assembly for Term II last week was a visit by foundation student Mr Paul Szacsvay. We were privileged to hear him speak about life as a Year 3 student at the brand-new St Leo's College back in 1956.Paul spoke and showed students photos of the College's first days and months, while much of the grounds were still a pile of mud. He told stories and provided interesting anecdotes about his subjects, uniform, sports and general experiences.Thank you, Paul, for sharing your wonderful memories with us. As we celebrate our 70th anniversary, the presentation reminded us that each one of our students, staff and community members is also now part of the St Leo's story. We are lucky to have Paul involved in the planning for our Back to Leo's Day in November as part of our 70th anniversary celebrations. Watch this space for details very soon and to register your interest. ... See MoreSee Less

AN EPIC BATTLE⚽️| Commiserations to our Intermediate Boys football (soccer) team who lost in an epic battle with Trinity Catholic College, Adamstown in the NSWCCC Football Knockout this week. Our Broken Bay Champion team were 2-0 up before conceding a goal with 20 mins left to play, making for a tense final period as they thwarted a number of scoring attempts by Trinity. Trinity finally cracked our defence in the final minute of play for a 2-2 draw, forcing a penalty shootout. The dramatic shootout remained even throughout with our valiant injured goalkeeper, Mustafa fighting until the end. Ultimately however, Trinity won the penalty shootout 5-4 knocking our boys out of the competition.Congratulations to the team and coaching staff for their heroic efforts and again bringing the whole College together for an enthralling game.
